Tales From the Woods

If you and your kiddos need to expend some energy before the jolly man in the red suit visits on the 25th, come take a walk at the park. Master Wildlife Conservationist and Friends of Brooksvale member Kirsten Walker will lead you on an easy walk through the woods of Brooksvale Park to learn and discover more about the animals who call the park home. Let’s figure out together what the difference is between animals who hibernate and those who don’t. We may even find tracks or signs of these critters. Meet at the Veterans’ Memorial Building and remember to dress for the weather. Toddlers may not do well on this walk but it’s up to you and your energy level! Heavy snow or rain will cancel. If you’re unsure, check back here, on the FOB website or call the park office (203-287-2669) to hear a recorded message. Brooksvale Park is located at 524 Brooksvale Avenue Hamden CT 06518 just a mile off of Route 10 Whitney Ave.
